I have over 10 years of experience with disability supports and am passionate about providing a truly individualised approach and helping to make a real difference in people's lives.
With a strong understanding of how to work effectively with NDIS from a personal and professional perspective, I have held roles that have involved working across a multitude of organisations, advocate groups and consultation with disability related local government initiatives.
In recent years I have been involved in leading multi-disciplinary teams for individuals with complex support needs, assisting people with transitioning to individual and shared living arrangements, and initial diagnosis/early intervention supports for children with Autism.
My belief in the importance of individual choice, flexibility and self-directed supports drives my approach to support coordination with an AIM to provide a positive and meaningful service.
I have a wealth of knowledge in the ever changing sector that is the NDIS, which encompasses an array of experience within the community service sector with qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety, Training and Assessing and Marketing. I hold strong values in providing empowerment to others whilst ensuring ethical customer service. I am proud to say that I have worn many hats in terms of service delivery within the community services sector such as First Aid Trainer, NDIS Auditor, Human Resources Officer and most importantly as a Support Worker specialising in Mental Health. I believe in providing an empathetic and practical approach to Support Coordination.
As a new graduate Physiotherapist from Curtin University, my biggest strengths include building rapport and trust with people and having strong communication skills across all demographics. My experiences with NDIS as a Support Worker for 3 years and through various clinical placements in the disability sector as a Physio student, has enabled me to do what I enjoy most - make differences in peoples lives through my work and practice. I strive to be able to continue changing lives positively bringing about good outcomes for my clients and their families. In my free time, I enjoy keeping fit and active as well as prioritising well spent family time.
I am an enthusiastic individual with a positive attitude and strong communication skills. With a background in health administration and qualifications in project management, I am focused on developing my leadership techniques, problem-solving abilities and interpersonal skills needed to interact with participants and their families. Personally, I love staying fit and spending time outdoors doing recreation activities and spending time with friends and family.
